What is an Enrolled Agent and how is it different from a CPA?

An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. EAs and CPAs are both knowledgeable, experienced professionals who are required to maintain high ethical standards. The primary difference is that EAs specialize in taxation, and CPAs can specialize in taxation and more.
